2 Days in Verona

Verona is a beautiful city in Italy that is best known for its Shakespearean associations but it’s a lot more than that.

I have spent two days in Verona and I enjoyed it despite the bad weather conditions.

I can’t start my day without a cup of nice coffee. I am pleased to say I had one of the best coffees at Julius Meinl in Verona. It’s a small coffee shop not far from Casa Di Gulietta. This coffee shop deserves a visit and don’t forget to try the Romeo panini ;)

Another thing to try is the famous spritz cocktail. It’s prosecco and soda and it’s commonly served with delicious appetisers.

You will find lots of wine bars in Verona. This region is very popular for its amazing wines.

Another thing you should not miss are the gelato stores.

There are every corner so if you are on a diet it’s not the best place to go. Something new are the gelato biscuits and my husband absolutely loved them.

Fashion is everywhere in Italy. You will find everything from big brands to small boutiques.

I always look for unique and alternative stuff. I fell in love with one little store called Ole and they sell the most amazing scarfs.

The streets are beautiful and the renaissance romance is everywhere.

Here are the top sights in Verona:

1. The Roman Arena

2. Museo di Castelvecchio

3. Piazza dei Signori – it’s a beautiful open air salon ringed by a series of elegant renaissance palazzi

4. Basilica di San Zeno Maggiore

5. And of course Casa di Gulietta. Love is everywhere on the streets around Juliet’s house and you will find it with no issue ;)

Here are some more pictures of this beautiful city. I hope you enjoy them
